Trust
Trust scores & verification
Lensi is not a price label from a single source. It combines receipts, community submissions, and vendor data to estimate how reliable a given price range is.
Different types of submissions
- Receipt-backed submissions from shoppers, with a clear image attached.
- Manual submissions from shoppers with no receipt.
- Vendor submissions from verified vendor accounts.
Each type carries a different weight, but no single submission decides the "real price" on its own.
How trust scores are used
For a given product in a given location, Lensi aggregates multiple submissions to suggest a realistic range. Submissions that are consistent with others, have receipts, or come from verified vendors contribute more to the final picture.
On the surface, you may see this as:
- A central or "typical" price and a range.
- Counts of verified prices for a product or vendor listing.
- Badges or labels indicating verified vendors or higher-confidence data.
What trust scores are not
- They are not a guarantee that a shop will honour a specific amount – always confirm on the day.
- They are not a rating of customer service or after-sales support, only of price data quality.
- They do not replace your own judgement when something looks too good to be true.
Privacy and safety
Price data is valuable, but so is your privacy. Lensi automatically redacts personal details from receipts and provides ways to request removal of your submissions if you change your mind.
