Vendor benefits on Lensi
This page focuses on what Lensi offers vendors in practice right now in Kenya – not a sales pitch, and not features that have not shipped.
1. Verified badge and trusted presence
Once your vendor profile is verified, your business may appear with a "Verified vendor" badge in relevant parts of the product experience. The exact placement can evolve, but the intention is always the same: make it easier for shoppers to recognise businesses that consistently provide reliable data.
2. Visibility where people compare prices
Vendor-submitted prices feed into the same product pages and price explorer that shoppers use to make decisions. Where the vendor directory is enabled, claimed listings can also appear on directory and vendor pages that summarise a shop's activity.
Lensi does not currently sell "boosted" placements or ads, so your visibility is tied to the quality and freshness of your price submissions, not your marketing budget.
3. Basic analytics about your submissions
Through the analytics section of the vendor portal, you can see simple but useful metrics such as total submissions, approval rates, and which products you submit for most often.
These tools are designed for clarity, not for complex revenue dashboards, and they will grow gradually based on real vendor feedback.
4. Fair treatment and realistic claims
Lensi treats vendor data as one important input among others. Having a verified account does not mean your prices are always shown first, and shoppers are encouraged to compare across vendors. This keeps the platform useful and credible for everyone.
How to get started as a vendor
- Visit the vendor portal and sign in or create an account.
- Complete your profile and upload the documents requested for verification on the profile page.
- Start sharing prices via the submissions area at /vendor/submissions.
- If the vendor directory is live for your account, consider claiming your listing – see Claiming a listing.
